What a Veiw

When I was doing my entry for Vampire the Masquerade I took some time to look around Bridgeport a little more and took some scenery shots. Sometimes I forget to stop and take a look around when I'm playing the game or taking pictures for competitions. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Finally up to date with everything, submitted my entry for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun in private PM as per the new rules, and finished and sent away my scores for both Flux and Hitched. Feels really good to be finally caught up, even though I had to drop 2 competitions to get to that point.

OMG a Post!!

Yeap, I have been WAAAYYYY too busy to even update my blog. Good thing is I'm no longer sick, took long enough for me to recover, I would say the fact we had packed my Vitamin B12 medication away somewhere and hadn't found it to unpack it would have been a huge contributor....but yeah, Hubby and I can be real dumbasses sometimes hehe

Finished my finale entry for Vampire the Masquerade, it sucks though so I won't be posting it here, will be a second place for me, which I'm totally cool with, right now I don't have any time to really sit down and play so I'm kinda rushing all my entries. I am going to post my entry for All About Me though, just because I've always wanted to Berrify my simself, and the assignment was just that.

So here's me Berrified as Pumpkin Pie a nerdy Berry Sweet with an addiction to the Sweet Tooth Arcade.

Have dropped from some of my comps, just because it isn't fair to make people continously wait on me, when I really just don't have the time to be in so many comps anymore. I'm still in All About Me and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun because those are nearing the end....and Beech Modeling because that one is a little less time consuming than the others. Will just have to see how much time I have tomorrow to see if I can submit something for Canvas or not.

Going to see Harry Potter on Thursday with some friends, grabbing the chance since my husband doesn't want to see it. We also have tickets to WWE RAW which is coming to Saskatoon, so if I remember to take photo's I'll prob post them here. Will try to be more regular with the updates even if they aren't all sim related.

Awwww Lots of Sad News

Bliss got perma banned from the officials for bumping right after someone else bumped....guess that's classed as spamming or something who the fuck knows these days.

RepulsiveDesire had something serious happen that really got her down about the Sims Community, don't know all the details but she has taken her lovely blog down because of it.

Beechnutbaby is closing the current cycle of Dark Shadowz due to a lack of participation, shes very busy this summer so continuing to run a non elimination competition still in its early stages when only 4 of the original sign ups have the desire to actually compete just seems to be a misuse of time.

Sucks when shitty stuff happens to people you like, even if they are only internet acquaintances.

Being Sick Sucks

Being sick and unable to go to the doctor to get drugs to make you better faster....sucks even more.
I'm hoping that my husband gets well enough, fast enough that I can steal the last of his antibiotics he got from the doctor, even though they always tell you to finish the full cycle of tablets....people rarely do lol.
Cheap ass over the counter cold and Flu pills and Robitussin just don't hit the spot.

Way behind in my sim modeling stuff still, Darkslayer should be punching me in the E face soon since the finale for Vampire the Masquerade was due a LONG time ago. Hoping to have at least the first picture done tomorrow, if not both. Just a hard time balancing online shit with real life shit while moving and having the flu (or whatever I have), though we have pretty much unpacked and moved/stored most of out crap now.

All I have right now is a not very good entry for Beeching Modeling....the unedited version of the shot probably looks better lol, but I haven't really played around with the dodge and burn tool nor color curves, so I wanted to experiment. Once I'm done with the comp's I'm in I think I'm just going to lurk, judge and piggy back assignments for a while and actually learn some new skills.

Superhero

We've had some pretty normal assignments for All About Me, Traits related stuff, our favorite room etc etc but this one was my favorite I think.
I have a love hate relationship with the Superhero assignment, it's a hard one to work with in certain competitions, however for my simself it was a lot of fun. Took me forever to think of what special power I should have, but eventually I settled on a kinda mix of Iceman and Storm.

Felicia has implemented a new ''PM submission'' for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, so I won't be posting entries for that comp until after scores now. I don't quite understand the point of it, other than there's no risk of anyone copying you, but then the judges are so good that they have already picked up on people using others entries as ''inspiration'' for their own.

Will be working on the finale for Vampire the Masquerade tonight and tomorrow, that's next on the list.

Still Here

Will have some pictures up tomorrow been really ill lately, luck has not been on my side with moving and then becoming really unwell and then when I start getting better my husband gets sick (mostly his fault, kissing a sick person even after they say its a bad idea is just asking for it lol)

Really surprised that the pictures I threw together for Canvas (3rd), Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (1st), All About Me (1st) and Beech Modeling (1st) did so well, so I'm hoping my luck holds out for a few more days so my half assed entries don't get me eliminated.....hoping by the weekend I can finally get back to normal, my time management skills aren't normally so crappy.

I'm Getting There! lol

Well I still haven't got very far with the actual unpacking of stuff, I kinda spent my day cutting a small tree down in the backyard because it was blocking the sun on the deck lol.........but I am also slowly getting caught up with all my simming competitions.

My entry for the All About Me assignment ''Cribs'' got first for the round. We had to show off our favorite room in our dream home, mine was a black, white and red study with his and hers computer set ups and a big screen TV.

Then I did the entry for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which has a political career theme. Drew a bit of a blank with this one too be honest, which is why it's a bit cliche and boring. Many of the other contestants had some really interesting ideas, I just went with a lobbyist for the mafia, tying it into the previous assignment where Saffia was working as a hitman.

Really wanted to do some playing around with my tablet for my Canvas entry, but right now I just don't have the time for sitting around practicing and playing around...plus it's kinda packed away somewhere lol. So I ended up doing my Steampunk entry pretty much all in game just did some minor adjustments to color and lighting to get the look I wanted.

Last but not least is my high fashion swimsuit entry for Beech Modeling. Through my experiences with High Fashion Modeling comps, and actually doing some research on the topic, I have come to the conclusion the idea of ''High Fashion'' is very much up for interpretation.....so I hope this works lol.
